The ITS (UK) member and event sponsor revealed RedSpeed 2.0, RedFusion Lite and RedSpeed 360 at the trade show, which is concluding today at Birmingham’s NEC.
RedSpeed 2.0 is a fixed digital red light and speed enforcement camera, which according to the firm retains the functionality of the existing RedSpeed product – the first of its kind to achieve UK Home Office Type Approval. The system uses 3D object tracking and features real time automatic number plate recognition.
RedFusion Lite meanwhile adds flexibility to the company’s existing RedFusion line of average speed enforcement products. The firm described the new product as ideal for a rotational enforcement policy, allowing specific zones to be targeted while maintaining an overall deterrent.
RedSpeed 360 is a newly developed piece of back office software for use with the RedSpeed, RedGuard and SpeedCurb Traffic enforcement systems. Replacing RedSpeed 32, the software can be used by an operator to download, view, check, report and export offences to third party evidence processing systems.
RedSpeed International also provided an update on its other current activities to coincide with Traffex 2015. “We haven’t been standing still since Traffex 2013 and in 2014 we were pleased to announce that we had won the contract to supply some 600 speed and red light safety cameras to Transport for London (TfL) to replace old “wet film” cameras,” the firm said.
“The award was the result of a process which started in August 2012 and our SpeedCurb and RedSpeed products are being progressively installed with a completion date of October 2016.”
