Research laboratory TRL has made the latest update to its transport modelling software – TRANSYT 15.0.4 – available to download from its website.
TRANSYT is used for designing, modelling and optimising everything from individual isolated junctions to large and complex transport networks. The software allows users to coordinate and optimise traffic signals for Microsimulation networks modelled in Aimsun and VISSIM, with the latest version including a link to VISSIM 7.
Other new features include ‘Turn on Red’ scenarios, as well as the capability to model and display amber times at the start and the end of green traffic signal periods. The length of amber signal times can be fully customised to suit regional policies and practices.
TRL head of traffic and software Gavin Jackman: “TRANSYT 15.0.4 gives far greater modelling options than ever before. We have listened to what the market place was asking us to do and our expert programmers have delivered a truly flexible traffic modelling tool.”
