Autonomous encounter A chance to experience autonomous mobility first hand awaits visitors to the highway demonstration area, where Greenwich based technology specialist Phoenix Wings will be showing off its latest driverless vehicle. The company has a strong background in the development of autonomous vehicles and is supplying technology for driverless car trials in Greenwich, being carried out as part of the TRL-led ‘GATEway’ project.  One of the autonomous vehicles outside the O2 Arena, North Greenwich 24 ITS REVIEW Annual Review 2015  REDFLEXradarcam Redflex Traffic Systems is returning to Traffex this year to showcase its current range of innovative digital photo enforcement systems and back office technologies on stand C35. Among exhibited products will be REDFLEXspeed radar, which is used on the HADECS3 (Highways Agency Digital Enforcement Camera System) project to support the implementation of mandatory variable speed limits on selected English motorways. REDFLEXradarcam – a mobile speed enforcement camera that uses dual radar technology – will be on show alongside the firm’s fully automated number plate recognition system, REDFLEXanpr. The company also has a range of enforcement and infringement management software to exhibit. REDFLEXdcms provides real time remote monitoring of enforcement camera networks, while REDFLEXiips is an advanced image and incident processing back office system. European general manager Simon Pickup said: “We see further growth potential in the UK and European markets and have recently opened a new headquarters office in the UK to ensure we are ideally placed to meet new and existing customer’s market requirements.” Camera specialist looks to increase UK presence A number of new products are expected to be launched by RedSpeed International at this year’s Traffex. The company, exhibiting on stand A20, specialises in the research, development, manufacture, installation and maintenance of digital enforcement cameras. In addition to the new products, which are not being revealed until the show, the firm will be displaying its self titled camera, RedSpeed (pictured). Installed at traffic light junctions, this technology detects red light violations as well as speed limit violations during the green or amber phase. RedSpeed cameras and derivative SpeedCurb cameras are currently being installed across London after the firm won a contract to supply 600 speed and red light safety cameras to Transport for London last year. RedSpeed’s head of sales and marketing John Clarkson said: “Traffex is a key exhibition for us and we are looking forward to welcoming friends both old and new to our Stand to discuss all things enforcement. We have new product launches this year so that’s even more of a reason to drop by!” Digital enforcement firm to reveal new products
